Two Edged Sword
"And out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword:
and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." Rev. 1:16

While praying in tongues this morning as
Service was beginning, the Holy Spirit clearly
directed me to a dark blue paint to prepare…
then yellow. I knew at that moment that I
would be painting water, but did not see
this image as yet. The picture simply flowed
out as I painted it: the sun, shining in
brilliance, out of which proceeded a two-edged
sword. Next came the waters being parted
by the sword of light. I knew when to stop
and was astounded by the picture I saw,
recognizing it as a depiction of a verse in the
Book of Revelation. When I looked it up, I
realized that the image was in the same vision
as last week’s painting, “Eyes of Fire”:
Jesus Christ, “the Alpha and the Omega,
the First and the Last” that John saw and
wrote about in the Book of Revelation
Chapter 1. Here Jesus appears with a sharp
two-edged sword coming out of His mouth,
dividing…separating, opening. It looks
like He is splitting the waters here:
dividing soul from spirit…separating His
own, making a way. Notice that where the
sword has been that the way is dry, just
like when God divided the Red Sea, His
people crossed over on dry ground.

Fountain of Joy

What an experience to paint this! While preparing the paper on the easel, I knew it was supposed to be horizontal, and I yielded obediently. While Pastor was praying Ps. 89: 1-13 I saw this and began to paint...but it was so plain and that was a challenge to me. I waited for more detail...more image...more color...no more came...except the hand movement in the painting of the upper part of the yellow. So I added that.

I felt that the Title was "Enthroned Above the Heavens" so I titled the painting.

Then, after Praise and Worship, the joy of the Lord broke out in the Service beginning with Pastor KC. An eruption of joy happened and all of a sudden, I realized that I painted what I was seeing happen before my eyes! An eruption of Joy! A gusher of the Joy of the Lord!
